Davy’s new CYG ‘anthem’ - VIDEO ONLINE

Davy has written & recorded an ‘anthem’ for the Commonwealth Youth Games 2011, which are being held on the Isle of Man this weekend (7th - 12th Sept). “Reach Higher” has been described as a ‘blues rock anthem that stays true to it’s Celtic roots’ by producer Dave Armstrong. It features a host of Davy’s fellow Manx musicians - Katie Lawrence on fiddle, Mark Brabbs on drums, Helen Morrison on trumpet and BV trio Christine Collister, Anna Goldsmith and Christy DeHaven.

The video for the song has been made by IOM company DAM Productions; it features clips of Davy performing the song at The Garden Party Festival earlier this year, alongwith footage of various CYG athletes from all over the world.

The CD single also contains tracks from acclaimed Manx musicians Anna Goldsmith and King Chiaullee and is available to buy now from the official Commonwealth Youth Games outlets at the National Sports Centre and Villa Marina and from Duke Marketing in Castle St, Douglas. The anthem will also be available for download via the Commonwealth Youth Games website http://www.cyg2011.com from 8th September.

Davy will perform at the closing ceremony on Monday September 12th at the Villa Marina, Douglas Isle of Man, alongwith Simon Campbell and the Very Very Bad Men.
