What happened? Your first album was so much better. The band was better with Ross and Adam. Changing from a power trio to a band with a douchey keyboard player really took a lot away from your sound. I was at your show last night and was disappointed. I bought your new album and i turned it off last night because i was just so let down. get rid of they keys and go back to your original sound, it was so much better

Davy and the rest of Back Door Slam,
I really like the new album! It’s different from the first one, but that’s to be expected. I really like the duet with Jonatha Brooke! I think you should work with her more. Also, great show last night in Philly! It was wonderful to see you live again-your albums are good but they really don’t compare to your live performances:) Good luck with the rest of the tour.

Wow, I am totally blown away by Karl’s comment! Was he at the SAME concert???? Yes, each album is different and progressive and will not please all, but Karl—-this album is Davy’s heart and soul! I—on the other hand—-have been totally on cloud 9 with the CUFA album. The six speakers in my Crossfire are definitely pushing around some of the greatest sound waves EVER! Keep it up!!!!! Davy….listen to your fans, but don’t let it change the language coming from your heart. LET IT POUR OUT ;>)

I’ve had the new album since it became available for download. I think it’s FANTASTIC. Shows some dynamic growth from the first one. Looking forward to seeing Davy and the band this Friday in Aurora.

I saw the show last night at the Highline. I had two friends come to hear you live this time since I had first seen you and origianl line up at the Mercury Lounge about a year ago. I was blown away…again and they were too…they are hooked. I like the new line up…you can see and feel the energy and interplay…keys are a great addition…which you can see gives you someone to groove with….not taking anything away from the killer drummer and bass player. I probably have that same record collection you listened too…play on brother…play on…

Last night at the Highline was fabulous! I went with a friend and just like that you got another loyal fan! The energy coming from the stage was contagious. I sang along the whole time. Keep on smiling!!!!
Come back as often as you fancy!!!

Hi Davy, It’s a keeper :D, just as I expected it would be. No throw-away songs, beautiful mix of acoustic and electric, gorgeous melodies, and your voice - wow! Spot on, as they say. It’s a joy listening to you. Keep it up!

P.S. Beautiful job on George Harrison’s song. Frampton did a similarly wonderful job on While My Guitar Gently Weeps on his “Now” album. Well done for both of you!

Dear Davy: I’m with Kari! Where’s the energy? I LOVE the first album: Stay is one of the greastest slow ones of all time. It took me over a year to finally secure a copy of the World Cafe Live gig from @ Feb. ‘08.; it is now my most prized cd in all of my collection!! I know that everyone’s a critic; and I don’t want to bust on your labor of love. But remember to be true to yourself. If the real you is Rollaway, (and I hope it is) then rock on! What happened to Andy and Ross? couldn’y hang? Andy’s bass playing was awesome!!! Still a big fan: Cheers and thank YOU very much indeed. JAMO

I dont knwow about everyone else, but I am really digging Davy’s new album. It’s a tribute to a great young song writer! In particular, two of my favorite songs are the title track “Coming Up For Air” and “Country Girl”. Really like Davy’s slide work and home to see more of it at future shows!
You know, I wonder who “Amber’s Song” was written for? Hmmmm, I wonder if it was for this little lady?
