Street Teamer of the month

ROY EBERT - Dec 2009

If you’re a Slammer, you’ll likely know Bluesman Roy already!

Also a chief street teamer for Joe Bonamassa, Roy was promoting Back Door Slam on Joe’s forums very early on in the boys’ US career - as a result, he helped to gather & convert a whole scutch of new BDS fans there. Joe himself also responded to some of the posts, expressing his admiration for the band, featuring them on his Sirius radio show and eventually asking Davy to support him at one of his own shows.

Roy spends a great deal of time posting wonderful things about DK&BDS across countless forums & websites and is a virtual one man welcome party to new fans. He goes to every gig he can get to, sometimes travelling a long way to make it, and has uploaded dozens of videos, pictures, reviews and blogs about the band & the performances he’s seen. He’s also contacted various TV & radio stations to ask them to feature Davy’s music, and regularly replies to other people’s postings about the band to ensure the threads - and the excitement! - keep brewing.

Thanks Roy, for all your hard work and unerring enthusiasm for Davy and the guys. It’s certainly infectious, and all the more powerful for it!

She's the Don

Our 'head Slammer' is the wonderful Shari who, alongwith her fabulous family, has been helping us out since the guys' first US tour. Along with her trusty sidekick Michelle, she runs the Slammer HQ myspace and the Facebook Fan Group (among countless other things!). She helps co-ordinate the street team effort across the US, so be sure to sign up to both those pages and introduce yourself to The Don*!

*Shari is not an actual Don, she's really a very sweet gal...
